Fractions are part of a whole number. This is how we work out the fraction of a whole number.

Angles

Although we measure angles using a protractor we need to be happy with the basics so we can check our measurements are correct. We start by identifying whether the angle is Acute (less than 90), a Right angle (exactly 90) or Obtuse (more than 90). This is the first thing that you must do before measuring.

Remember if it is an acute angle and you have measure 30, you have read the wrong scale.

Here is a game to make sure you are familiar with angles and can recognise or estimate a realistic answer. Use what you already know to help you.
